in 1994 to 27% in 1999 (table 7). Two-thirds of all tertiary students were employed, with 40% of these working 35 hours or more per week
大部分本地学生考完HSC之后要么工作要么上职业学校，很多人是工作了一段时间后再回来上大学。所以大学里，尤其是到了postgraduate school，part-time student和oversea student的比例很高。
