That is so right. My previous colleage ever asked me whether Chinese prefer gamlbing very much, because, in Casino, one can see plenty of Chinese hanging around there. A decade ago, in spring fesitval season, my high school classmates used to gather together in somebody's home. The only entertainment there was to gamble, either with Mahjong, or cards. One gathering, one might lose several hundreds Yuan to thousand Yuan, which could be several times of their monthly salary at that time.
