If you read Financial Times, you will notice that most financial assistance to Eastern European nations were provided through European Reconstruction Bank and France/Germany directly. IMF, mysteriously, gave limited financial stability fund to Eastern European nations. World Bank is missing from most aid agreement.

I do not think Obama decided not to help Europe. American elites know that if Euro replaces USD as the main reserve currency, that will spell the end of American financial and military power--US will decline into an isolated 2nd-tier nation. That's serious challenge, matter of life and death.

Actually, this Euro vs. USD fight has been going on every since 2005. I heard in my friend cycle that B hesitated a lot over lowering rate in the summer of 2007 because ECB refused to coordinate and even insisted on increasing interest rate in 2007--further pushing USD down to unstablize its reserve currency status. If you read the news carefully, B only lowered "discount rate" in Aug 2007. In 2007, Europe is still in ascending trend. The whole world was pull down into recession purely by the Lehman drama directed by B and H.P.

China has made it clear that China will not destroy the USD-global reserve system. China is a long-term challenge to America and what America wants is "slowing-down" of its rise, not a total war.

Obama is doing whatever needed to please various constituents--look at history, he is a good boy to everyone--nice to all political interests groups, never vote against any bills in the senate.

If US and China go on a financial/trade/military fight, then both will be losers and global power will return to Euroland. Americans, esp., their jewish elites, will not do something against their own long-term interests.
