就在我和lily天各一方，隔着太平洋闹着别扭。她的脾气越来越大，原来百依百顺的态度在逐渐变化。我跟她闹了别扭时不时就找林萍说一说，而她和小蔫巴也处于我和lily之间类似的状态。对着林萍的诉说缓解了我孤独产生的绝望。而我就这样在生活里寻找着感情的支撑点。就在我和lily的关系到了最冷淡的点的时候，老云和Jenny正式结婚并举行了西式的婚礼。

那是一个非常热闹，很有人气的婚礼。Jenny为此做了精心的准备：安排婚宴婚典，以及结婚后两人就去当地的某个Hotel过一个浪漫的周末。这一切都是Jenny和她的两个闺蜜们-南下太保兵团的最后的两个坚守们准备好的。老云做了个完完全全的甩手新郎。

结婚请来的宾客很多：新郎的同学朋友们有二十几人；新娘子的公司同事们二十几人。双方的家长都不在，于是新娘子就请了自己同事Sherry父母当了女方的父母亲。Sherry的父亲，一个外表看来都是典型的德州男人，长得酷似小布什，经营一家小型的货运公司。他在六十年代曾经作为一个卫生兵去过越南，对中国有着特别的兴趣，对中国人也格外友好。他曾经让Jenny给Sherry物色一个中国郎君。为此Jenny没有少折腾过身边的中国朋友中的男性们。今天，Jenny特地委托他作为家长代理，由他在婚礼上，当着证婚人牧师的面把Jenny交给新郎。

婚礼仪式是在memorial park附近的一家旅馆举行。那是五月的一个晴朗的周六，天气温暖。身着婚纱的Jenny在两个闺蜜的陪同下，缓缓地走过小桥，朝着典礼台走来。穿西装戴着墨镜的Coo手里拿着Camcorder，和一帮拿着照相机和Camcorder的，在忙不迭地给拍照记录这个对于Jenny和老云格外珍贵的时刻。阿良两口子受到特别的邀请，也出席了这个婚礼。阿良太太围着一条非常别致的白色围脖，拿着相机给新郎新娘抢拍，发挥着她的特长。

典礼台是宾馆外的一个露天小礼堂。来宾们坐在几排长条椅上，被绿色灌木环绕着，关注着牧师主持的婚礼。事先已经拿到100巴克斯的牧师非常热情在周六出举行婚礼典礼。 过了小桥的Jenny，被Sherry的父亲领着，来到了典礼台前。而老云在伴郎的陪同下，早已等候多时。两个请来的小洋妞用银笛吹起了瓦格纳的婚礼进行曲。牧师，一个头发花白的老人，开始了证婚词：

"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Yun and Jenny in marriage. In the years they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife."

"True marriage is more than joining the bonds of marriage of two persons; it is the union of two hearts. It lives on the love you give each other and never grows old, but thrives on the joy of each new day. Marriage is love. May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to share moments of quiet and peace, when the day is done. May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and a home of warmth and understanding."

"Do you YUN, take Jenny to be your lawfully wedded wife, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"

“Yes, I do!” 老云回答道。

"Do you Jenny, take Yun to be your lawfully wedded husband, promising to love and cherish, through joy and sorrow, sickness and health, and whatever challenges you may face, for as long as you both shall live?"

“Yes I do!”， Jenny回到到。

在牧师的引导下，两人交换了戒指。

牧师接着说：

"By the power vested in me by the State of Texas, I now pronounce you husband and wife“
