I believe you have several misunderstandings. First, "出院" doesn't mean to discharge the Pt to home. There are plenty of places for continued care if the patient is stable.

Secondly, "一直以来不醒，肺部发炎" are not sufficient reasons to remain in the hospital. Many patients remain "一直以来不醒" after brain injury. If it is stable and no indications for surgical intervention, Pt can be sent to Rehab.

"肺部发炎": I hope this is not your diagnosis.For Pneumonia, Pt may have IV Antibiotics at home or Nursing home or Rehab, if he/she is stable.

Many patients like this are "discharged" with Tracheostomy, Feeding tube and a PICC line for IV.

I know this may not sound nice. However, this is not uncommon in Department of Trauma in any US hospital.
