If a kid wants to go b-school himself, that's already a self-selection process. Other types of kids - nerdy or artsy - will also self-select and select engineering or humanity major.

And, after he's in that environment, it's likely to be a positive reinforcement loop. He will become more and more "活泼开朗，长袖善舞".

And last, that's not in contradiction to "学习好" too.
