Participants in our study were relatively young and largely had very mild disease. They were admitted to hospitals for quarantine purposes, not because of the severity of the illness. Because disease was mild in these patients, we could not detect a difference in the rate of improvement of symptoms, except fever, in the intervention groups compared with control.
