迄今海外综合报道是两枚导弹进行了攻击。一枚击伤了以军舰，并使4名士兵阵亡；另一枚击沉了60公里外的一艘埃及商船，随后落水的船员都获救了。

关于是什么导弹，海外一些军事论坛还在争论中，基本的倾向是认定这是一种引进中国技术的缩水版伊朗反舰导弹。海外的一些新闻媒体报道得也很混乱，从最早的RPG，无人机猜到C701,C801,C802（中伊版）的全有。又有报道说袭击导弹的装药50公斤重，然而国产的C802反舰导弹战斗部为165公斤！实在令人难以判断。

One Killed and Three Missing in an Attack on Navy Rocket Ship

Yesterday, July 14th 2006, An IDF missile ship, "Ahi Hanit", was hit by a missile that was launched from the Lebanese coast. As a result of the attack, fire erupted on board. The crew members on board managed to control the damage, but four crew members were declared missing. During searches conducted on board the ship the body of one of the missing soldiers was found- Staff Sergeant Tal Amgar, 21, resident of Ashdod.

Additionally, the names of the three missing soldiers are now released for publication:

Sergeant Yaniv Hershkovitz, 21, resident of Haifa.

Corporal Shai Atias, 19, resident of Rishon Letzion.

Master Sergeant Dov Shtierenshos, 37, resident of Karmiel.

The Israeli ship is now making its way back to Israel.

During the incident, Israeli Navy ships identified an explosion on an Egyptian commercial ship while was sailing in international territorial waters.

It is assured that the ship was struck by a similar missile that hit the Israeli boat. The Egyptian ship drowned and its crew was rescued by another commercial ship present in the area.

The Israeli Navy will continue to enforce the naval blockade on Lebanese ports and has also attacked earlier this morning a number of Hezbollah targets around Beirut.

Bodies of all four soldiers killed in attack on navy ship identified

A short time ago, IDF representatives arrived at the homes of the families of three soldiers who have been considered Missing In Action since the attack on an IDF navy ship on Friday, July 14th, and announced to them that the soldiers' bodies had been identified.

The soldiers are: Sergeant Yaniv Hershkowitz, 21, from Haifa; Corporal Shai Atias, 19, from Rishon Lezion; First Sergeant Dov Stern, 37 from Karmiel.

Yesterday afternoon, the damaged Navy vessel docked at the Navy base in Ashdod. During the night, the remains of the three were taken to the Abu Kabir forensics institute to be identified. The results if the forensics testing, which the IDF received this morning, confirm the identities of the three.

The fourth soldier, First Sergeant Tal Amgar, was identified yesterday.

This brings the total of soldiers killed since the Hezbollah attack Wednesday morning to twelve.
