我有过不少小碰撞的经历，我妈妈也被撞过还进过医院（对方犯错误）（也是x-ray没问题，手脚擦伤，头部肿块，腰疼）。

如果美国和加拿大的保险是差不多的话，第一是明确事故的肇事人是谁（这很重要），第二是对方有没有保险，第三是要请律师的话，多比较不同的律师,他们的好坏很参差，收费可能从赔偿中提成。

至于到了打官司的阶段，我妈妈的case时间跨度一年半，进出local法院次数较多，官司的对象是保险公司，医疗验伤取证的过程严格，最后赔偿不多（医院过夜费用+MRI+救护车+少量的杂费）。

另外，中医的费用多数不包括。
