1.People become lazy. Easy life, no hard work ethics.

2.One industry becomes too dominant in political life, bad for democracy because it is hard to build check and balance.

3.Make itself too attractive for foreign interference.

4.Too close to America--colonization becomes easier and less costly.

When America became No.1 industrialized nation in the West Hemisphere, the No.1 priority is to control resources in this hemisphere. It can not control Eastern Hemisphere, because it was all divided by European powers.

Japan: overpopulation with little natural resource--nobody wants to colonize that piece of shit land.

China is similar case. Japan only wanted the Don Bei.

按照左大培的看法，拉美国家之所以会走上自由贸易和比较分工的道路，恰恰是因为他们此前搞“独立自主”失败的结果。

历史并不能证明你的这个说法。我认为在这个问题上，张文木先生的看法更深刻。他认为，日本是企图仿效英国对中国搞“大陆均势”战略，为此他们必须先将中国分裂成若干个国家，而不仅仅是占据一个东北就完事。具体的说就是：伪满洲国的地位相当于波兰，华北汉奸自治政府的地位相当于法国，南京伪国民政府的地位相当于西班牙。让这三个“国家”相互牵制，这才是日本的方针。

所以我觉得用资源的诅咒不能完全说明问题。

瞧这“外长”，与其说是“外交部长”，不如说是“破坏关系部长”。
