主题：关于奥巴马出生地的问题（应提示特有请南方有嘉木） -- 坐怀不乱高起潜

所以产生了这个疑问（我当时觉得法条写得太啰嗦，怕大家看不下去，没想到裴骅兄这么认真）。看法条原文是很清晰的：

(d) a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the birth of such person, and the other of whom is a national, but not a citizen of the United States;

(g) a person born outside the geographical limits of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is an alien, and the other a citizen of the United States who, prior to the birth of such person, was physically present in the United States or its outlying possessions for a period or periods totaling not less than five years, at least two of which were after attaining the age of fourteen years.......

这样看的话，一般并不需要持续到出生之时，但是（d)项要求不间断；（g)则可以中断。

至于对法条中的用法是否有一般性的解读，我觉得应该没有，像这种时间计算，法条本身应会说清楚，不能留下模糊的空间。这里是因为我的引用不清晰才出现了疑问，对不起了。
