刚刚看到一段话，是从一个摘要里面来的，就算摘要中的摘要吧，希望大家各抒己见：
... uneven pattern of executions in Asia with democratization slowing down executions but some authoritarian regimes with large levels of execution. What predicts high versus zero execution isn’t culture but authoritarian government.
One essential value of regional analysis is that it demonstrates that it is the government in the PRC not Han culture or public opinion that produces 95% of all the executions on earth while Hong Kong abolishes the death penalty and Taiwan goes three years with no executions.
总之，该演讲者认为：威权政体而不是文化决定了施行死刑的情况。所以俺做个小调查，看看诸位中赞成废除死刑的有多少～当然这个很不严谨。
