BTW, the use of supplier rebate to reduce raw material cost is not wrong. In effect, supplier volume rebate does reduce raw material costs.
Dell's mistakes: overlook the overseas market and consumer market. HP's return to top 1 is mainly supported by the strong PC shipment growth outside the US after 2004.
