原来Judy 不仅“活化石”的研究生同学，还是一个小组的，而且是“活化石”最好的美国朋友之一。

原来Judy 早知道我和“活化石”的关系，逗我玩的。

“Finally the day comes”Judy 看我的表情，很开心：

“你不知道在我们同学的两年里，我遭到了你家先生的多少次挖苦讽刺。刚开学时，因为说了些 “某些事发生在这里很不正常”的言语。马上被你家先生称为自大，还挖苦我道： You know what, God bless America but you and me.

他的外号就叫“street fighter.”说起来滔滔不绝，到处与人争论。不过有时候争论也挺有意思，挺痛快。记得一次一个英国要人来学校演讲，好象说其经历最痛苦的事莫过于将香港还与中国，其言语还夹杂英式幽默，大意是，以后要占那块地方，就直接划为领土，不要租借。租借的，不管你治理得多好，都要还的。听到这，你家先生不干了。Flying out of the seat, 早早地占住了提问的话筒。我暗自高兴，等着看好戏。

果然，演讲刚完。你家先生连珠炮地发言. 首先纠正香港岛是被割占而不是租借。其次即使是租借部分，You did have a choice to renew it as did 100 years ago, didn’t you? I do not think you have a choice, however. Because thousands of boats are passing by the sunk boat and dying trees do not necessarily imply that the spring is not coming.

你看，这段我都记下来了。听说是中国的成语。

其实，你家先生最让我佩服的是毕业前夕他质问一家大型企业CEO的话。这是一家主要以买中国廉价商品再卖与美国的公司。当时“活化石”已经拿到这家公司的offer. 这家公司CEO在演讲时，在对比中美时，不停地显示自己的优越感，不停地攻击中国经济发展所到来包括环境污染在内的一系列问题。最后，“活化石”终于忍不住了。说了下列的话：

You have the luxury of not experiencing the life Chinese people do. Because … because you are born smarter than them? 。。。You have a decent life and your firm makes tons of money through what are happening in China, then you criticize the way in which Chinese people make you rich! I would rather you buy products directly from here in the US to create more job opportunities or help make China’s environment improved. Otherwise, it does not make much sense here of enjoying the fruits on the one hand while questions the matter how people plant and water the trees on the other hand.

I am really impressed 当我知道这番话可能带来的后果。

我也really shocked。原来“活化石”同学认识我的时候就已经是所谓的海龟。想想那会儿我着急出国，看他反应不是很积极，还拿话刺他：“澳洲的经验怎么比得上X国的。”

怪不得他要说这次出国是吃二遍苦，受二茬罪。。。
