家园 请问河里谁熟悉Rutgers, New Jersey State 小弟今年申请到Rutgers商学院的MSQF, 本身对学校还没有什么概念。 不知道河里有没有rutgers的校友，或在NJ/NY地区朋友，对它有所了解的，还请多多指教。 主要是想知道学校的口碑怎么样，出来工作好找不，还有那边的生活环境是怎样个状况。 还请大家多捧个人场， 小弟在此先一一谢过。

I'm a new graduate student to Rutgers this fall. I'm looking for long term
sublease of a room in a 2 or more bed-room apartment or house, sharing
living room and kitchen, sharing or using separate bathroom.
As I'm not going to drive, location is expected to be with walk distance or
biking in 10~15 minutes to Busch campus.

Tons of info out there. Shouldn't be difficult at all to find a place to stay. You can even afford to be a little picky if you plan ahead and allow yourself enough time to browse...
家园 RCSSA was mainly NB based They didn't have much information about other two campuses before. I don't know whether the situation is changed now.
They used to have mailing list especially for new students. That will be very useful if they still keep it. RCSSA used to have board members assigned to answer new students' questions.
They may also have a new student board at their forum.
家园 newark治安不是稍微差点,而是很差，不要在晚上去DOWN 但你的校园不是在DOWNTOWN地区，应该好些。NEWARK是全美犯罪率排在前十的城市，晚上在街上见不到白人。
你的专业应该好找工作，都是和数学，统计有关，所以不难找。
家园 大家有跨州搬家的经验吗？ 今天联系学校，估计ON-CAMPUS住校是没戏了，不知道什么网站能网上找房间。 还有我那一堆子书啊，不舍得扔啊， 请问有什么好的方法可以运东西到东海岸呢？
家园 呵呵， 欢迎小学弟 俺在NewBrunswick Campus 待了4.5年。学校不错，位置好，离纽约近，NJ的经济发达，工作机会多多。而且NJ的华人多，生活方便。
如果住NewBrunswick 校区，环境较好，但要有车才生活方便，主要是shopping。那边校车发达，但外面的BUS很不方便。Newark校区不太清楚，好像downtown比较乱，但公交比较发达。
New Brunswick 和Newark 校区之间交通还算方便，从New Brunswick乘NJTransit 的火车30分钟左右就到Newark，然后转地铁到Newark校园。New Brunswick的火车站就在NB的校园边上。

家园 哪个校园啊？ Newark还是New Brunswick？后者的环境好得多，周围一堆中国超市和中国饭店。
竟然你是商学院的，出来工作应该比较好找。新泽西州本身就一堆大公司（主要是药厂），另外离纽约的华尔街那么近（当年911的烟在校园里都能看到
），机会也不少啊。至于住宿，当年学校提供家属房（2室1厅），比外头便宜的多，而且包水电，所以那边的中国人常一对夫妻再找个房客（不合法，嘿嘿），现在不知咋样了。。。
