家园 【谣言惑众】google支付系统马上要推出了 网上长期谣传google要推出自己的支付系统，甚至google自己都不直接否认，只是说，不会与ebay的paypal正面冲突。现在看来，似乎马上就要成真了。
虽然还只是谣言，但这回却是像模像样的谣言了。证据在于google的robots.txt文件。 http://www.google.com/robots.txt 这个东东，是用来告诉网上的其他搜索系统，有哪些地方是私密领地，非请勿入。在这个名单上，突然出现了两个子目录引人注目，一个叫purchases，另一个叫gwt，据猜测大概就是google wallet。这个证据有一定的可信度，因为上周google新发布的新闻阅读器reader身上就发生过同样的事。
google wallet最显然的应用，应该是用来支付网上成千上万的google广告伙伴。比如西西河上就有google的广告，今后铁手就改用这个来收钱了。
但是，结合最近google自己承认的准备推出付费视频内容，google wallet很可能在那个方面有更大的用途。我大胆猜测，google将要推动的，将是个人创作的独立的音频视频内容，将是对电影电视等被大公司垄断的传统媒体的挑战。
这会是一场革命。
Google Video to Offer Paid ContentJennifer Feikin, Director of Google Video, was at a We Media panel in which she said that “what has happened in the past 15 years is pretty phenomenal” and user-generated content “really is just the beginning.” The Internet enables new ways of building upon collaboration, and Google Video is part of that. Google Video has until now dealt with free content, but “there will be the ability for people to pay for content.” Google “will enable that payment mechanism” and it is “just another step in Google’s effort to try to enable access to more information.” “We’re really trying to facilitate that connection between users and the content owners.”
