俺给现在的公司打工三年多了,俺老板挺好玩.
先说俺面试的事. 先一中国人, 一上来让俺半小时写篇英文命题作文, 俺可好多年没写过作文了, 但这难不倒俺, 俺不写作文还不天天写email吗, 拿出写email的劲儿, 作文洋洋洒洒的完成了, 看样子作文过了, 俺被告知马上有个德国人接着面. 俺很土的, 第一次接触德国人呵, 心里有点紧张, 怕他们说的英文万一有外国口音听不懂啊. 等那人一开口, 俺心里一乐, 第一他说得很慢, 第二他的口音俺听得耳熟, 俺以前有个老板比利时人, 这两人说话音调很象. Blah, blah…俺又过了. 接下来说再见大老板, 当当当! 主角即将登场…
但俺被告知, 大老板开会呢, 一时完不了, 过两天再来…
两天一过, 俺又闯虎穴来了, 大老板, 荷包蛋发型, 40来岁, 目测身高1.70以下(以后看到他护照上写1.69, 俺目得挺准), 走路发出的脚步声与身材明显不符, 隔门听着俺以为进来的起码是个膀大腰圆的. 大老板快人快语, 三句两句俺们就工作方面没啥好谈的了, 开始聊天. 俺说您的英文说得真好懂, 跟CNN一样. 他说你听出来啦, 我在美国待了8年呢. 翻着俺简历, 他看到俺前一份工作(美国公司)说我认识XX, 在飞机上认识的, 我还有他名片呢, 俺一听那可是俺们以前的亚太区CEO啊, 就告诉他XX已经撂挑子不干啦, 前面他问起俺干嘛想换工作时, 俺说公司这两年变化大呀, 行事方式公司文化和以前大相径庭, 弄得我们这些老员工很不适应, 所以干脆换个新环境算了, 正好这会说起这个老大的离职, 俺又接上说了, 您瞧, 这么大的老板也一个又一个的走了, 我们这些小不勒头子也该挪挪了不是? 大老板说我们这环境好, 人的关系也简单. 我们这的德国人也都很喜欢中国人, 4个老外, 2个娶的中国太太, 1个娶的虽是哈萨克斯坦太太但她会说中文, 我自个儿未婚呢, 但我未婚妻在新加坡也是华裔呢. 俺就势问, 那您一人在上海啊? 他说是呀, 我在上海3年啦, 接下来他把那几个老外在上海几年了, 有几个孩子, 谁会说中文都和俺说了, 俺心里觉得挺乐, 不都说老外把隐私看得挺重吗, 他咋啥都说啊. 末了他还不忘问俺, 结婚了没? 有男朋友没? 问得俺一愣一愣的.

本帖一共被 1 帖 引用 (帖内工具实现)家园 【原创】再来续一下俺的老板 3月份的时候,总部对中国的主要业务有所转型,老板headcount所在的部门被减弱成非主要业务部门,所导致的结果是这个部门在上海的headcount由5个减成1个,更简单的说俺老板被裁了(还好俺的’人头’没算在这个部门). 那天他把部门的人都找进办公室开会了,惟独没叫我,我当时也跟着进去了,我以为是早前他通知大家十分钟后开会的时候我上厕所去了,所以在大家进他办公室的时候,我也照例拿个小本子往里走,谁知被他挡住说,没有你! 我有些小懵,咋回事!?十来分钟后,开会的几个人铁着脸出来了,老板向我招招小手说,来吧,也该和你聊聊. 我满脸狐疑地坐下来听他说了,下巴越掉越下,实在不太好理解,一方面德国公司很少裁人,听说另外公司10几年来从来没有因为业务的变化裁人的,这下一弄4个人,我被震的嘴也合不拢. 老板说,我也很不高兴,太突然了, 昨天下午5点我老板电话通知我的. 我问, 那你怎么打算呢?公司对你的补偿好吗? 老板说, 我会请律师帮我处理这些事情的. 接下来我俩义愤填膺地抨击了公司的这项破安排,没人性. 老板还告诉我可能会做到6月底,让我也Take care点, 说总部的管理层很不友善,不知道以后公司会变成什么样. 但是在如此郁闷的事情发生之后,老板居然还’娱乐’了大家一把. 事情是这样的, 开完会的三五天后的一个早上,我一上班就看到他居然剃了个光头, 我瞪着个大眼,包都没放下就冲他’you got new haircut!?’(心想他难道以此来表达心理的不满吗?) 他无奈的摸着头皮说,昨去剪头,我两只手比划好了剪短点就睡着了,醒来的时候就半边没头发,半边没动,我也不知道他们是怎么理解我先前比的手势了,没办法,说不明白,还一大堆人围着我,我只能让他全给剪了.他一边说的时候我一边想象一个外国小老头围着剃头布,顶着半边光头,手舞足蹈,英德文里嘣两个中文字的想和理发师讲个是非,引的大群人在那儿参观的壮烈场景. 着实我没憋住,笑得个腰也直不起来. 接下来可好,整个早上就听他和每一个碰到的人解释这个光头事件. 解释完了他还自我宽慰的说,还好还好,就是头发嘛,过几天就长回来了.
这些天老板已经在新公司上班了,正在德国总部接受培训,9月后还是会被派驻上海,我们还常写写email,他告诉我两周前他的膝盖半月板动手术了,天天拄拐仗上班呢,他很自豪的说医生说他恢复的比一般人快. 其实一年前他大腿也动过小手术,是疝气,平常他走路咚咚地山响,刚做完疝气手术走路轻得象猫一样,经常幽灵似的从我背后突然冒出声音来了. 这么有意思的老板走了,我工作乐趣也少了很多呀!

家园 德国拜仁地区的人很不错 刚刚去了德国拜仁地区一周，感觉很不错，尤其那里的人相当友好。一般来讲，当你手持地图在街边做迷茫状超过20s，基本就会有德国人跳出来主动帮助你了
法国还可以，如果你会说点法语的话，法国人基本会一直跟你奉陪到底，直到你明白为止，当然巴黎地区会有所不同，毕竟 Paris est Paris, la France c'est la France
家园 老笑话了 英语变德语 The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the EU rather than German which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty's Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5 year phase-in plan that would be known as "Euro-English".
In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of the"k". This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have 1 less letter.
There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like "fotograf" 20% shorter.
In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be ekspekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent "e"s in the language is disgraseful, and they should go away.
By the fourth year, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v". During ze fifz year, ze unesesary "o" kan be dropd from vords kontaining "ou" and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

家园 俺来晚了，赶紧送上献花3朵！ 家园 一般德国人英语水平到底怎样？ 在北美遇到的德国人，有的有点口音，但一般英文都不错，至少能交流。但到德国旅游的人说，德国说英语的人不多，也很冷淡，不愿意帮助人。到底是怎么回事？
