美国人谈球,常常会用一个词Underdog,指一个一般都认为要输的球队,潜台词是,要注意他,也许会爆冷门.但"暴冷"一词的直译,不知道....

不知英国人怎么说?

"upset", when an underdog team defeats a favorite one.

I just got the similar answer from an American friend. I tried to explain the situation by saying “hi, man, if Chinese basketball team beats US in Olympic game, what would you say?” “Come on, I would say, it is a miracle!”

Faint.

Later he gave me the same word “upset”.
